Tarte Amazonian Clay Matte Bronzer in Park Ave Princess — Mini Review, Pictures & Swatches

I’m going make this review short and sweet! Well… not too sweet because I’m definitely NOT in love with this bronzer.

Tarte’s description:

“Product Performance: This fragrance free, talc free powder bronzer delivers sunkissed radiance in a lightweight finish without clogging your pores. It blends and builds effortlessly to your desired level of natural-looking bronze and its high sheen compact is perfect for achieving an on-the-go glow. Plus if you’re looking to define your cheekbones and jaw line, this bronzer also works as a contour powder because it’s the perfect natural matte shade to add depth and it effortlessly blends.”

In my humble opinion this bronzer is way too orange to be used as a contour powder. In fact, it is way too orange to work as a decent bronzer on fair skin… take a look at the swatches below!

PROS
Adorable packaging
Long wear — about 10 hours
Matte

CONS
Too orange
Applies somewhat cakey

Bronzer is a funny thing — on one gal it will look gorgeous and natural, then orange and artificial on another. This product did not work for me, but I’ve heard others rave about it. I much prefer Benefit’s Hoola Bronzer and recommend it to ladies with fair and light skin!

I may be selling this in an up coming blog sale, so keep an eye out for that if you are interested!

Available at Ulta or Sephora and retails for $30!

I can definitely see the orange under-tones. I will be staying away from this product, but on another note I'm loving that MAC Harmony Blush swatch!!

Pity that this bronzer is orange for fair girls! I'm currently loving NYC Bronzer in Sunny! Haven't tried the other high end bronzers though!
