TOP 10 MAC EYESHADOWS FOR FAIR/PALE SKIN

I thought it would be helpful to put a list together of 10 MAC eyeshadows that would work great with fair/light skin. If you would like to check out the Top 3 MAC Blushes for Fair Skin, click HERE.

Top 10 MAC Lipsticks for Fair Skin

I prefer using the pro pans because it is more cost effective and MUCH easier to store. These are the shadows I think are most important when starting your collection, so enjoy! Click on the pictures to enlarge!

VANILLA (Velvet)

Vanilla is a beautiful ivory with slight pink undertones and my Holy Grail highlight!! It is amazing at blending outcrease work for fair skin and never looks ashy/chalky. Althoughthere appears to have a little sparkle in the pan, it applies nearly matte.

DAZZLELIGHT (Veluxe Pearl)

Dazzlelight is a shimmery highlight that leans slightly yellow. I typically wear this in the inner tear duct area but it also looks great as a browbone highlight.

NAKED LUNCH (Frost)

I adore Naked Lunch! This shade is absolutely beautiful on the lid or as abrow bone highlight. It is described as a minimal pink with shimmer, but on my skin tone it looks like a shimmery beige that almost looks wet.

KID (Veluxe)

My go-to transition shade. I highly recommend this shadow for ladies thatlike to use matte crease shades. This shade has a warmth to it and helps tobring a sophistication to many of my looks.

CORK (Satin)

Cork is an ideal crease shade. MAC says that it is a Satin, but when appliedit is a medium brown matte shade. .

SATIN TAUPE (Frost)

This eyeshadow is absolutely beautiful! It is a taupe with strong purpleundertones. Also, thefinish is quite metallic, so keep that in mind. I prefer wearing it on the lidbecause it brings out my eye color so well, but you could also use it throughthe crease. It may suit cooler skin tones a bit better but I think it looksgorgeous on just about anyone.

PATINA (Frost)

Patina is so complex… It is an antiqued gold color with green and pinkduochrome. It is considered a frost, but I would say the texture is quitedifficult to describe. I think it is more like a Satin, which is why I thinkthis shadow works well in the crease.

BRONZE (Frost)

Bronze is absolutely perfect. It is a true bronze with shimmer, and doesn’t leanred or orange, which a lot of bronze shades tend to do. The texture, pigmentation, and blendability are superb.

CLUB (Satin)

Another amazing color by MAC! I have a full review on the blog, click HERE to check it out!

HUMID (Frost)

Humid is one of the most amazing colors I have EVER found in ANY brand ofmakeup… If you only have one green eyeshadow, this should be it.

MIRACLE PRODUCT: Murad Age Balancing Night Cream Review

Typically I would be ranting and raving about my favorite eyeshadow of the moment, but I have to take a break from my usual antics to talk about the Murad Age Balancing night cream. I got a large sample (0.6 oz — full size is 1.7 oz) from Ulta when I purchased another Murad product (that I ended up hating, and returning). Anywho, this has been sitting in my bathroom cabinet for about a month and finally I decided to give it a try…

Talk about a LIFE CHANGER!!! I have unpredictable combination skin with small flare ups and random dryness for reference. I noticed a huge difference after the first night, and my skin is absolutely transformed after 5. No more dry skin and not a spot in sight!!! My skin hasn’t looked this good in years! It has a nice scent and doesn’t feel heavy or greasy on the skin. You wake up and your face feels — well, hydrated — for lack of a better word.

Now comes the slap in the face… This puppy retails for $75!!!! Are you kidding me? I found a 30 day kit on their website that includes this and some other goodies for $39.95, so I think I’ll give that a try.

What is your favorite moisturizer?

MAC CLUB EYESHADOW — Review and Swatches

CLUB (Satin)

HOLY DUOCHROME BATMAN!!

Hello my name is Sarah, and I am an eyeshadow addict.

It seems appropriate that I review Club because it was the first eyeshadow I purchased from MAC, and 10 years later it is still one of my favorites! MAC describes Club as red-brown with green pearl and I think that is a fair description. At first glance it appears to have a green base but after swatching you can see that it is a blue/green sheen over a reddish brown base. I used to wear this shadow in my early roaring twenties when going out, but now I like to use it during the day for a slight pop of color. If you are craving a smokey eye, look no further!

This is definitely an eyeshadow that needs a primer to help it really shine and show it’s full potential. I like to use Urban Decay Primer Potion, but there are plenty that will work just as well.

(top without primer, bottom with primer)

Club looks great paired with other greens, neutrals, and purples… My favorite way to wear it is on the lid with Patina in the crease and to transition, Vanilla to highlight. If you are looking around beauty blogs trying to decide if Club is for you, let me be the one to tell you — IT IS! I have fair skin, but it would look good on just about any skintone. It really makes green and brown eyes pop!
